Just when it looked like the money was gone and the party was over, Roy and the guys put their big money-making plan into action. Roy and his friends have nothing left in the world except drink and debauchery. When his troubled, teenage nephew, Kenny, runs away from a foster home and shows up at the door, Roy discovers that the state pays a nice amount of cash to foster-parents. If they can work together to keep Kenny from screwing up, the booze will flow and the party will never end.

Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On This Island, and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of the favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!

These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo, a young boy and "thinker of strange and wonderful thinks"! As each story unfolds, you will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss's subtle themes are, making this musical one that appeals to all ages.

The score emerges as a Seussian gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk! So let your toes tap, your fingers snap, and your imagination run wild.

How often has the audience done the hokey-pokey together??

The New York Post said: "This is better than John Phillip Sousa played on massed kazoos with free ice cream sodas and bubble gum"....

Variety said: "Puts musical back in musical comedy and gives the audience a delightful time"..

A creation of alumni from Pump Boys and Dinettes and "the Red City Ramblers", Oil City Symphony mixes The Anvil Chorus with rock standards, old fashioned melodies and original songs which include Count Your Blessings, The Hokey Pokey, Beehive Polka, Hungarian Rhapsody, Stars and Stripes, 1812 Overture, Dizzy Fingers, Coaxing the Ivories, In The Sweet By and By, and My Old Kentucky Rock and Roll Home.
